At day at Ancil Hoffman Park

I had today off and Adam took Jacob with him into the office. It was just me and Tyler at home...so we went to the Ancil Hoffman Park by our house.
This was the setting...

Tyler was excited to be there.

We brought his soccer ball.

He liked the grass

No, I am serious. He really liked the grass. I think that he became one with his inner-cow.

Yes, he ate the grass.

So, it was time to come home.

We blasted off into the stroller. He had a quick drink and we headed home. We had to take advantage of the great weather.

The Playhut Adventure

This story began around Christmas when Tyler Woolsey received a playhut.
This playhut was the talk of the town and everyone wanted to play in it....Even the cat....

One day while playing in the Playhut. Tyler noticed something...A Big FEROCIOUS Cat!!

Be afraid...be very, very afraid[:0]

Tyler was distraught...he felt hopeless... like nothing would ever make him happy again. What would he do?

Nearby, Super-Hero-Long-Haired Jacob heard Tyler's cries for help and came to save the day...

My hero!!

Super-Hero-Long-Haired Jacob rode off into the sunset on his ripstik

First Day of School

Well...to Jacob's great dismay he started school on Monday (8-18).
He was dreading going back to school but as it turns out it wasnt as terrible as he thought it was going to be. He got to see all his friends and got to play 4-square again (which he said was great). Tyler sure missed him. You should have seen how happy Tyler was to see Jacob when Jacob got home from school, it was very cute.

---2 days down only 177 left to go--- (Jacob is keeping count).

On Tyler news, Tyler now is doing his little commando crawl, can feed himself cheerios and has started to crawl over US. Here are some pictures.

Our Time with Jessica

We were fortunate enough to get to spend a few days with Jessica while she was in Valley Springs. Jacob and her had a great time playing together.

On Day One: They played quite a lot of guitar hero and gamecube. They enjoyed a ride in the back of the truck. I believe they even got to sit on some Hay on the way back (awww..cushion). They went Kayaking all by themselves on the lake (unforunately we didn't get any pictures but they really did it). The ended their day by falling asleep to Underdog.

On Day Two: We went to Mercer Caverns. This was so much fun, a little unexpected, but fun. The caves were beautiful. If I remember correctly we conquered 442 (or maybe it was 422) stairs. There were some places where it felt like you were climbing up a ladder. Jessica did great (flip flops and all). Jacob did great (he got a little claustrophobic but he was a trooper. Kept saying "I can do it!" I was very proud of him.) I did great (in my unbiased opinion). But I believe that the gold star for the day has to go to Grandma H. She's not called a "Great Grandma" for nothin'. Unfortunately, Tyler was not able to go down in the Cavern there is NO WAY that Mama could have carried him so he and Grandma Ellen got to bond for a little bit. After the Caves, we headed to the BK and then us three Woolseys made our way home. We had covered a lot of territory in a two week period.

We all had a great time and it was ABSOLUETLY INCREDIBLE, WONDERFULLY GREAT to spend time with Jessica. We love you Jessica!

Here is a little tribute to our time together.

Camping 2008

Ahhhh..another year...another camping trip.

Our yearly camping adventure took place in Clark's Fork which is a little up past Pinecrest Lake. Of noted importance, we have decided that we need to go camping probably in June so that we can avoid the crowd of people that flock to the lake in August.

Also of noted importance, we learned that Tyler does not like to sleep in his playpen when we go camping. But don't let that lead you to thinking that we will not be going camping. In the words of The Fiddler on the Roof, "Tradition! Tradition!"

So, I know I said that Tyler wasn't a great sleeper during camping but you would never guess by looking at this picture. Happy Baby!

Who says you can't get creative camping. Do you know what this reminds me of? The magic mirror....."Mirror Mirror on the wall..."
